About Me<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am an Episcopal deacon in the Diocese of Washington <\/a>on the road to priesthood. I will graduate from Virginia Theological Seminary in May 2024 with a Master of Divinity degree. I also completed coursework at Seminary of the Southwest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe we are called to heal the world. I believe in the power of resurrection to bring light and life into the world. Laity and clergy, we are all called to do this work. I pursued that call through a variety of vocations (Americorps, politics, journalism) before answering the call to ordained ministry. In all those phases of my life I pursued a more just, more loving, more holy world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have also lived through crucible experiences that have refined who I am and given me an empathy for those who suffer and struggle. I see ministers as midwives of disciples. We are constantly forming each other to become more Christlike.  I believe \u201cThose who sowed with tears will reap with songs of joy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
